The Town of Corte Madera

Corte Madera is nestled between the slopes of Mount Tam and the marshlands of San Francisco Bay, Corte Madera is home to high achieving Redwood High School, two shopping malls straddling Highway 101, and jewel-like Corte Madera Town Park. Corte Madera is a perfect place to raise a family and as such Corte Madera Real Estate sells quickly and at prices equivalent to most cities in Southern Marin.

While the malls provide great shopping, from the Apple store to Nordstrom’s and Macy’s, there’s more to Corte Madera than shopping and easy access to the city. Civic organizations donate the flower baskets that hang on almost every lamp post in town, and coordinate the town’s blow out 4th of July Parade. Corte Madera is home to Marin/Scape, the annual art show that has raised over a million dollars for Buckelew Programs, that helps those with mental illness. Little Leaguers take full advantage of the spacious, well-tended parks and ball fields. Families have been enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and delicious Italian country cooking at Benissimo’s Restaurante since 1987. Corte Madera can also claim the Book Passage, an independent bookstore with a busy calendar of classes, workshops, and author’s readings that brings in literary luminaries Jane Smiley, Isabel Allende, Anthony Bourdain, and many others.

Corte Madera offers a range of schooling options, from the public Neil Cummins elementary school to private schools including Marin Primary and Middle School, Lycee Francais, Marin Montessori School, and the prestigious Marin Country Day school.

Corte Madera Real Estate is a tremendous value compared to many towns in Marin and its central location within southern Marin makes it an ideal commute location.
